Beltane

Beltane (on the eve of May) is one of the main turning points of the year, turning the focus from God to Goddess, who will be predominant through the Summer months. This was the time when the maypole was erected. The themes of the festival were sexual love, fertility, birth, and creativity. It was a time for joy and festivity.
