Lughnasadh

Starting at: $4.50

Lughnasadh is a Celtic name referring to the celebration of the sun god Lugh. Another name sometimes used is Lammas, which is a celebration of the bread after corn harvest. This is the time of the first harvest. The god makes love to the already pregnant goddess for the last time, sacrificing himself and passing into the earth. It is through such death and rebirth that the harvest is brought into being.

Notes: To celebrate the harvest, we begin with freshly Baked Bread and Brown Sugar, then added Pears and Blackberries, Sage and Vaniglia, with just a touch of Juniper. A truly glorious combination of scents!
